Used Tesla Model 3 A/C Compressor
Used original unit, matched on the OEM part number and confirmed against your VIN before we quote. Sourced to order — never sold from a shelf.
How we source an A/C compressor for the Model 3
The A/C compressor on the Tesla Model 3 is electric rather than belt-driven, and it usually also cools the battery pack. That makes it a high-voltage component: it must match the system voltage and the refrigerant, and it is not a part to fit by guesswork.
Tesla parts are matched to build date and to software. A unit from a different build window can be physically identical and refuse to communicate.
We do not hold stock and quote from a shelf — units are located after you send the VIN, which is why the price you get is for your vehicle rather than for an average one. If nothing suitable is available at the time, we say so instead of quoting a unit that will not fit.
What we check before we quote
- Refrigerant type and pulley/clutch configuration matched to your build.
- Unit rotated by hand and reported as free or seized.
- Oil residue and seal condition inspected for leaks.
- Whether the receiver-drier and expansion valve are included.

Questions buyers ask about this part
Can I use an R134a compressor on an R1234yf system?
No. The lubricant and seals differ and the system will not perform correctly. We quote by refrigerant type, which is on the vehicle's service label.
Should I replace the receiver-drier at the same time?
It is good practice whenever the system has been open, and it is inexpensive compared with a second compressor swap. We can quote one with the compressor.
Does the compressor include the clutch?
Yes when it was removed with the unit, and it is stated in the listing. A clutch that does not engage is declared before sale.
