Used Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 Brake Disc
Original equipment, used, and described honestly: condition, donor mileage and anything missing are stated before the unit ships. Fitment is confirmed from your VIN, not from the model name.
How we source a brake disc for the S-Class W222
Brake discs for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W222 are matched on diameter and thickness, not on the model name. Vented and solid, front and rear, and two different diameters in the same model year are all normal — the stamping on the disc edge settles it.
Mercedes part numbers carry a chassis code (W222, W447 and so on). We match on that code first: two cars with the same badge can sit on different platforms entirely.
We do not hold stock and quote from a shelf — units are located after you send the VIN, which is why the price you get is for your vehicle rather than for an average one. If nothing suitable is available at the time, we say so instead of quoting a unit that will not fit.
What we check before we quote
- Thickness measured and stated against the minimum stamped on the disc, not estimated by eye.
- Run-out, scoring and heat cracking described — a lipped disc is called lipped.
- Diameter and venting confirmed against your VIN: solid, vented, drilled or slotted.
- Whether the pair came from one donor, and what that donor had covered.

Questions buyers ask about this part
Can I replace just one disc?
It is legal in most markets and it is a false economy. Uneven wear across an axle pulls under braking and upsets the ABS. We will supply one if that is all you need, but we say why a pair is the better buy.
How do I know my disc is below minimum thickness?
The minimum is cast or stamped on the edge of the disc, usually two millimetres under the new thickness. A workshop measures it with a micrometer. Send us a photo of that edge and we will tell you what we see.
Are your discs machined or resurfaced?
No. They are sold as they came off the donor. Machining removes material and takes a disc closer to its limit, so a disc that needs turning to be usable is not offered at all.
