Do injectors have to be coded?
Common-rail diesel injectors almost always do — each carries a correction value the ECU uses for fuelling. Petrol injectors usually do not. We photograph the code so the workshop can enter it.
Petrol and diesel injectors — will the same part fit?
No, they are entirely different components operating at different pressures. The fuel type and engine code decide what we quote.
Can I replace just one injector?
You can, and we supply singles. On a high-mileage engine the others are often close behind, so it is worth asking whether a matched set is better value before deciding.
