Used BMW 5 Series Radiator
Used original unit, matched on the OEM part number and confirmed against your VIN before we quote. Sourced to order — never sold from a shelf.
How we source a radiator for the 5 Series
A used original radiator for the BMW 5 Series, matched on core size and on whether it carries an integrated transmission or oil cooler. The same body can take two different radiators depending on engine and market, and the unions on the tank tell you which.
BMW's part numbering is precise and unforgiving — a unit from a different production series will not fit. We read the eleven-digit number before anything else.
We do not hold stock and quote from a shelf — units are located after you send the VIN, which is why the price you get is for your vehicle rather than for an average one. If nothing suitable is available at the time, we say so instead of quoting a unit that will not fit.
What we check before we quote
- Pressure tested and the result stated — a unit that will not hold pressure is not offered.
- Core and tanks inspected for fin rot, seam seepage and cracked necks.
- Whether an integrated transmission or oil cooler is present, and its union type.
- Fan shroud, brackets, bushes and hoses listed as included or not.

Questions buyers ask about this part
Does the radiator include the fan?
Usually not — the fan and shroud are separate parts and are listed separately. On some donors the shroud comes with the radiator because it was removed as one assembly, and then it is included.
Radiator or condenser — how do I tell which is leaking?
The radiator sits behind the condenser and holds engine coolant; the condenser sits at the front and holds refrigerant. Coolant loss with no external leak often means a head gasket rather than the core, so it is worth pressure testing the system before buying either.
Can I fit a larger radiator for better cooling?
Not safely unless the car was built for it. Cooling capacity is matched to the fan, the thermostat and the ECU's expectations, and a bigger core with the original fan can end up worse than what you removed.
